I did this a while ago but since the word for the week was swamp, I had to share this piece!

Best Day EVER!

Just wanted to show off my birthday card for this year (and on sale): BEST DAY EVER!!! I actually have been this happy about receiving presents and food, but this little guy is a lot cuter ;)

Capable - (Illustration Friday)

When I was getting ideas I thought of many talents/powers etc. that could make someone "capable" of many things but then I thought of it from a mother's point of view (and remembering my mother) this line came to mind: "capable of driving me nuts!" :)

Popular? Maybe....but at what expense?

So far I have yet to see a cat dressed up like this....but with some of the "dog dresses" I've seen.......I feel its only a matter of time!

Suspense (or save the princess;)

When thinking of "suspense" I immediately thought of fairytales I had grown up with. This scene from the story of Sleeping Beauty came to mind, where the prince rides to save her and is dwarfed by the evil he is about to face. I'll admit that I didn't always bond with the princesses in these types of stories, but my eyes were wide and excited thinking about fighting dragons, evil witches, entering castles of doom etc......Now that held me in suspense!

The Collector

My favorite part in different renditions of the Little Mermaid is her collection of human things and how fascinated she is by some of our most simplest items. It inspired me to do this piece.

NEW BOOK! -Imaginary Sea 1,2,3!

Introducing for year the 2012, my first children's number book, written and illustrated by me: Imaginary Sea 1,2,3! This book was done in (my favorite) watercolor and pen on hotpress paper. It has wierd creatures, silly rhymes, seek-and-find challenges and is fun for all ages. If interested this book is available through my website.
